Approx. 7000 m D+
The big, tough & dirty loop – for all massively mad riders who want to suffer. A 300 KM gravel journey heading into Italy over peaks & passes in the Carnic Alps, three alpine rivers, and four refreshing lakes along the route. Just make sure that you are lion-hearted, not stupid: it’s 300 KM & 7000 M Altitude! So, it’s up to you:
1. fasten your seatbelt and start flying on gravel (not serious)
2. bring loads of mate tea along to keep you awake (not serious too)
3. plan your night’s rest in nature or find a fancier shelter (actually serious).
Approx. 3000 m D+
Definitely long and brutal enough to be a crackpot on tough tires!
Gravel roads, single trails, hollow ways up & down all around an iconic mountain. As a mustached or non-mustached Magnum rider, you will pass rivers, lakes & some stunning lost places in the Carinthian backland. Some parts are for speedy gliding over gravel, some for damning us and questioning yourself for participating! To sum it up: don’t underestimate 3000 m uphill on gravel.
Approx 1500 m D+
75 KM packed with pure Carinthian gravel variety. A wonderful and punishing path shredding along rivers, pedaling through woods, pushing up hills, crossing a mountain creek, and nothing but good vibrations on two wheels. Unless you are a mollycoddle you will have mind-blowing fun between your legs – otherwise, agony will kick in!
What does "gravel" exactly mean? Originally it was a road surface. Then it became a type of bike capable of much more than just riding on gravel.
Now above all "gravel" is a way of cycling: discovering new places & people and the fun on the journey rather than just getting to the finish line fast.
Jeroboam summarizes, in its four distances, all the possible approaches to the gravel world: from the most adventurous to the most "racy" (although not a race!)
For this reason, remember we will give very precise indications on how to prepare your bike for each distance as soon as we will have the final routes.
Not just riding, but also spending time with friends and other cycling enthusiasts.
Jeroboam events always feature an expo area and a space to socialize with good music and interesting stories.
A complete schedule of the events at the village events will soon be available on this website.
Cycling means burning a lot of calories and we are not convinced an energy bar or gel is the best way to refuel. Good food and lots of drink options never lack in the Jeroboam village.
The details about the village kitchen proposals will soon be available.
